This position is based at our North Canton, Ohio manufacturing plant.


Responsibilities

  • Install raceway system (conduit, wireway, cable tray) and install and terminate power or control wire between electrical equipment such as switchgear, relay panels, or junction boxes based on the NEC.
  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and wiring connection diagrams to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Use small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Label, lug, terminate, and route control wire in an electrical sheet metal enclosure.
  • Operate portable power tools and ladders

The Raceway Wireman is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Raceway Wireman
  • Ability to read and understand documents written in standard English
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Be safety and quality-oriented, accountable, dependable, reliable, productive, ethical, a strong communicator, innovative, a team player, and have a positive attitude
