Myers Acquires NuArt Lighting Products

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA, APRIL 12, 2001 -  On April 12th, 2001, Myers Power Products acquired NuArt Lighting Products, one of the premier manufacturers of traffic, transportation, and tunnel lighting. Now known as Myers/NuArt Lighting Products, the company will retain its current manufacturing facilities located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and continue NuArt's long tradition in manufacturing an extensive line of transportation and transit lighting products as well as illuminated highway and street signage.

Myers Power Products Acquires Computer Power Inc. and BEST-Lites

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA, January 3, 2002 -  Myers Power Products, Inc., is pleased to announce the acquisitions of Computer Power Inc. located in High Bridge, New Jersey and the BEST-Lites product line from the Powerware Corp. of Raleigh, North Carolina. Myers Power Products, Inc. is headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, California. Myers/CPI will be relocating to a modern facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in January, 2002. The BEST-Lites product line will also relocate from the Invensys facility in Wisconsin to the Bethlehem facility.

Myers PowerBack™ Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems To Enhance Las Vegas Traffic Safety

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA, December 6, 2002 -  Clark County and the city of Las Vegas are taking a major step forward in providing greater safety at traffic intersections during blackouts or power interruptions with the installation of Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems (UPS) specifically designed for traffic applications. Manufactured by Myers Power Products, Inc., the first system is being installed at the intersection of Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard. Myers' PowerBack UPS is designed to provide continuous power to traffic intersections during power outages due to utility glitches, extreme weather or natural disasters. This greatly reduces the possibility of vehicle accidents and injuries due to dark intersections. The Tropicana/Las Vegas Boulevard installation is planned as the first of many such installations throughout the city of Las Vegas and Clark County.

Myers Power Products Unveils New PowerBack™ Uninterrupted Power Supply System for Traffic Control Applications

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA, September 6, 2000 - Myers Power Products, a designer and manufacturer of electrical service cabinets and components utilized in traffic control, has released its new PowerBack™ Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) line of products. The Myers PowerBack is designed to provide continuous power to LED and incandescent traffic intersections during power outages due to utility glitches, extreme weather or natural disasters. Mounted in a Myers traffic ervice pedestal or retrofitted into many existing pedestals or traffic cabinets, the Myers PowerBack UPS components - the PowerBack Module, Power Transfer Switch (PTS) and Battery Module - form an elegant and complete solution. The PowerBack UPS provides as much as 24 hours of battery runtime (depending on load requirements), allows for the connection of an AC generator for prolonged outages, and is easily maintained - all without any interruption in power to the LED traffic signal operation.
